A standard webcam laptop and artificial intelligence (AI) to evaluate motor symptoms at home.

In 2021, the iCARE-PD consortium published an article studying the use of webcams for remote Parkinson’s Disease assessment (bradykinesia). The authors propose a markerless video-based motion method to prove the concept that video-based objective classification of PD motor function based on bradykinesia is possible using a standard laptop webcam and an artificial intelligence algorithm.
